--Pam, The Shopping Guru Interviews Deborah Thomas

I have always had problems with getting shoes to fit me without some kind of issues and no matter how expensive they are, I rarely get that comfort until I bought a pair of DEBBY Majestic Black Patent Pumps! Do I love the shoes? Absolutely Yes!

Like every other lady out there, I just keep buying for the looks but never thinking how much damage is made to our feet just by wearing these so called pretty shoes that cost a fortune. Reports have it that wearing these uncomfortable beautiful shoes does a long-term damage to the feet structure. Just imagine how Sarah Jessica Parker from Sex and A City felt when she twisted her ankle during her recording of 'I Don’t Know How She Does It.

In her own words the 48 years old actress told a US magazine:

"For ten or so years, I literally ran in heels. I worked 18-hour days and never took them off. I wore beautiful shoes, some better made than others, and never complained". She then goes on to say "I went to a foot doctor and he said, 'your foot does things it shouldn't be able to do. That bone there.... You've created that bone. It doesn't belong there.'

The foot doctor is definitely spot on and over half of the women population wearing these high stilettos 24/7 will end up having deformed feet too. I was so inspired that I had to meet the DEBBY shoe designer and founder, Deborah Thomas, the CEO of DEBBY Corporation to talk about all DEBBY Pumps.

--Pam:

It's great to finally meet you and I just want you know that DEBBY pumps are the most comfortable shoes I have had to date. I bought the Majestic in Black Patent and I feel Majestic too!

--Deborah Thomas:

Pleasure to meet you too and I am glad you are enjoying the Debby Majestic.

--Pam:

You founded DEBBY Footwear in 2012 and can you tell me what inspired you into making shoes?

--Deborah Thomas:

I have always struggled for years to get comfortable shoes and I really love shoes. It got worse when I had to do more as a self employed, mother of two. Having a very busy schedule of running my business as well raising the boys with all their activities, I ended up with so much pain all over my toes. I had to have shoes that I can wear with a suit as well wear to the boy’s basketball games, walking etc. So I made my own shoes and called them DEBBY Pumps in 2011.

The comments were so positive when I turned at business meetings and schools with several women asking if I would make the same shoes for sale. That's when I decided that I would start this footwear line but it has to have a purpose because of my experiences; I decided that I would always donate a portion of the sales for children's causes. Hence the name: DEBBY - Shoes With A purpose

--Pam:

I see 3 horses on your logo and wonder; why horses?

--Deborah Thomas:

I love horses! The horse is Majestic, powerful, elegant, graceful, naturally beautiful and most of all loyal. People strive for all these attributes and I wanted to have all these qualities and attributes tied into my shoes hence naming each style after a horse. The top three shoes are named after my favourite 3 horses: Majestic, Stallion and Mustang.

--Pam:

I like your slogan: Wear It, Fold It, Fits in your pocket too. Tell me about this.

--Deborah Thomas:

It's very simple, when you are not wearing it, you can fold it and fit into your coat pocket. It's the ultimate city girl, yummy mummy and chic CEO boardroom meeting style!

--Pam:

Debby; sorry, Deborah, I am in love with your shoes, the styling is chic and timeless. It's wonderful talking to you.

--Deborah Thomas: Sweetie! Don’t be sorry. Everybody calls me Debby! Thank you for dropping by. It's been a pleasure.
